One-woman dramatizations of cultural, historical or relevant themes or group performances.

CiCi has been writing and producing plays and related productions for more than 20 years.  She has successfully worked with youth and adults in a variety of venues and has received press coverage.  Often, notable talent, such as John Patton, Jr., best known as the preacher in the movie, "The Color Purple," has teamed  with amateurs for memorable performances.

Selected Titles:

Magnify My Heritage - This mixed age production hails successful performances from the Urban League's former Teens' N Touch program to churches and even the Greenville Black Cultural Festival.  With just enough street flavor to appeal to the young, the mature generation relate to its spiritual, reforming nature.  (20+ youth and adults)

Hallelu - A marriage is literally "on the rocks" until a soulful guardian angel intervenes to salvage a couple's unity.  The angel saves the brawling pair from domestic abuse and revives the "heavenly bliss."
(2 males, 2 females) (Humorous and upbeat)

I'm Somebody, Too! - First impressions can fool you!  The message behind this one-act skit with a self-titled song, is be careful who you shun.  An old lady represents those who thirst for love, compassion and understanding.  (Cast 4- mixed) (Short, but sweet)

Lillie Mae - A passionate tribute to the life and death of CiCi's grandmother, Lillie Mae.  Humor, honesty and soulful singing punctuate this portrayal of Lillie Mae from her days as a demeaned domestic worker to her dignified struggle with cancer, and a colorful life in between.  Lost a loved one?  Lost yourself?  Then you can relate with a huge dose of love and some laughter, too.  (A one-woman narration

Why Do Big Girls Have to Grow Up?  - This powerful production explores hopelessness and suicide.  It transcends past and present to query and then weave solutions through artful drama and a stretch of songs from ballads to the spiritual, "Amazing Grace." Former classmates reflect at a class reunion - why do big girls have to grow up, leaving the joy and comfort of childhood - Why?
(Cast 10+ mixed) (Self-titled song)

The Lily - Animation brings nature alive to unfold the life of Jesus Christ from cradle to carpenter to Crucified One.  "Oh, Mary Don't You Weep" and "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?" are but two of the bittersweet songs in this Easter drama.
(Cast 30+ mixed) (Artfully pushes the boundaries of imagination.)

The Foundation, The Faltering and The Redemption - A sassy son, an absentee husband and father -  what's a mother and wife to do?  Follow closely and see the power of prayer and the power of a woman.  Witness a compelling drama - maybe you'll recognize a character you know and can help in real life.
(Cast 20+ mixed)
